If you are a true 944 fan, you know this a rare Porsche! This 944S2 is a local car, bought new in Bakersfield, CA. It has been serviced exclusively at the local dealership since new with the exception of one set of tires installed at a local BMW dealership. A documented complete, and up to date, service history comes with the car.

The owner passed away a couple of years ago and the car is now in the possession of his widow. He was a 40+ year member of PCA and the car proudly wears a 40+ PCA sticker on its windshield. The car has full documentation since new, including the original window sticker. It runs and handles great just like it should. The car is original and is missing only a few items: the top boot may or may not stashed in the garage, valet key is missing, but the unused valet key heads are there and one of the flat caps for the factory wheel locks is missing.

The car does have some issues, but nothing life threatening or uncommon. It needs a clutch as the rubber disk center has failed. The clutch does not slip, and the car drives with no other drivetrain issues. One, or both of the convertible top cables are binding, but are not broken. This is a common age related issue. The convertible top canvas needs replacing as it's showing signs of age. The high-speed radiator fan cycles on and off repeatedly, probably the radiator temp switch, also a common problem. The A/C has already been converted to R134a, but probably needs charging, as it does not blow cold. The car’s exterior needs attention.

The paint is tired is some places. The driver's side has numerous door dings. The hood header panel has a dent and the hood has scuffs. Front lower valence was shed sometime in the past. There is a dent in the front passenger fender behind the wheel and there is another dent in front of the rear wheel at the rocker.

The interior is in real nice shape with only minor wear (probably less wear than expected).

Asking $9,000, but offers will be entertained.

The owner is hopeful that this car will remain in the hands of a PCA member. If you are a Golden Empire Region member, or a member of a nearby region, additional consideration will be given towards the sale.
